Selkirk Rex origin and history
The Selkirk Rex actually comes from an animal shelter. The history of this cat breed began in 1987 in an animal shelter in Montana in the United States. A kitten with curly fur was born there. This kitten was taken in by a Persian cat breeder and crossed with a Persian male . The result was six kittens, three of which had curly hair.
